My career journey has been anything but conventional. After many years in business and raising a family, I moved into mining and discovered a career that challenged me, built my confidence and opened up opportunities I never expected.

I started in NSW before relocating to Western Australia to continue developing my mining career. Since then, I’ve built solid operational experience in open-pit mining and developed a strong interest in leadership, safety and supporting people entering the industry.

Proudest Professional Achievement:
My proudest professional achievement has been successfully rebuilding my career in mining and backing myself to relocate across the country to pursue greater opportunities.

What Motivates You in Your Career?
I’m motivated by growth, purpose and the opportunity to make a positive difference to the people around me. Mining has challenged me, built my confidence and shown me what I’m capable of.

I’m passionate about continuing to learn, developing into leadership and using my own experience to support others, particularly women finding their feet in the industry.

What Being a Lead Her Member Means to You:
Being a Lead Her Member means being part of something bigger than just my own career. It’s about connecting with women who understand the challenges and opportunities within our industry, supporting each other and creating genuine pathways for women to grow.

I believe strongly in women backing women, sharing knowledge and making sure the next woman coming through feels supported rather than having to figure everything out alone.

Advice You’d Give to Women Entering the Industry:
Back yourself. You don’t have to know everything on day one, and you don’t have to prove yourself by pretending that you do. Ask questions, listen, learn from good people and never be embarrassed about being new.

Be reliable, work hard, stay true to yourself and don’t let one difficult person or experience make you question whether you belong. There is absolutely a place for you in this industry.
