2026 continues to build strong momentum at Resourceful Women, with March and April proving to be incredibly exciting months for our growing community. Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen continued growth, deeper connections and some very special milestones. Most notably, Sienna Tamati has been announced as a finalist in the Women in Industry Awards, taking place in Sydney this June. This recognition reflects the dedication, passion and work that has gone into building Resourceful Women over the past 18 months. This achievement would not be possible without the ongoing support of Dani Tamati and the incredible community backing Resourceful Women. Our mission remains clear, to connect great women with great businesses, educate women on opportunities within the mining and resources industry, and support them in finding pathways with companies that value their skills and potential. We’re proud to play a part in building a safe, inclusive and progressive industry, led by strong, supportive people. Thank you to everyone who continues to support Resourceful Women and the values we stand for. If you’re new here, welcome. Resourceful Women exists to create genuine connections, amplify experience and support women at every stage of their career, whether you’re just starting out, transitioning into mining or looking to grow and lead. March Sundowner: Leveraging Your Network In March, we hosted our Sundowner focused on Leveraging Your Network, bringing together men and women from across the industry for an evening of connection and learning. Managing Director, Dani Tamati, led a practical LinkedIn workshop, guiding attendees through how to set up and optimise their profiles to best represent their skills and experience. The session was designed to help attendees build confidence in presenting themselves professionally and to stay connected with others beyond the event. Despite the weather, we had a fantastic turnout and are grateful to everyone who joined us. It was great to see so many meaningful conversations happening throughout the evening. All attendees should have now received a copy of the LinkedIn presentation, and event photos are available to view on our website. May Sundowner: FIFO as a Family Our next Resourceful Women Sundowner is fast approaching, and we’re excited to announce our May event. Theme: FIFO as a Family Date: 22nd May 2026 We’ll be joined by Vicky Pellowe from The FIFO Family Project, who will share her experience as a FIFO worker, a FIFO partner and part of a FIFO family. Vicky is a strong advocate for supporting FIFO families and will provide valuable insight into navigating the realities of balancing FIFO work and family life. This event is ideal for current FIFO workers with children, those considering starting a family, or individuals looking to enter the FIFO lifestyle while maintaining a strong family foundation. It’s also a valuable opportunity for companies to better understand how to support their FIFO workforce, particularly working parents, while connecting with job-ready candidates in a meaningful way. Tickets are now live and available, and we encourage you to secure yours early. Moving forward, Resourceful Women events will be held bi-monthly, creating even more opportunities to connect with both candidates and industry professionals. Become a Resourceful Women Member As our community continues to grow, so does the value of being part of the Resourceful Women network. 2026 continues to build momentum at Resourceful Women and March is shaping up to be another exciting month for our growing community. As we move into March, we’re also proud to celebrate International Women’s Day , a moment to recognise the achievements of women across industries and reflect on the progress being made toward greater equity and opportunity. The mining and resources sector has seen incredible growth in female participation over the years, but the power of community, mentorship and support remains just as important as ever. At Resourceful Women, our mission is to create a space where women can connect, share experiences and continue building confidence and capability across every stage of their career. Every conversation, event and connection made through Resourceful Women contributes to building a stronger, more supportive industry for women now and into the future. If you’re new here, welcome. A Sold Out February Sundowner Our February Sundowner was an incredible way to kick off the year, with the event officially selling out and bringing together 70 attendees, including 7 children , for an evening of connection and conversation. One of the things we’re most proud of is creating a welcoming environment where women feel comfortable attending, even if that means bringing their children along. Seeing families present in the room was a great reminder that building supportive networks in the mining and resources industry means creating spaces that recognise the realities of balancing career, family and life. The feedback following the event was overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees sharing how valuable it was to meet others in the industry, exchange insights and make new connections. The energy in the room was undeniable and it set a strong tone for the events we have planned throughout the year. March Sundowner: Leveraging Your Network Our next Resourceful Women Sundowner will take place later this month and we’d love to see you there. Theme: Leveraging Your Network Date: 27 March 2026 Over the past few months we’ve noticed a common theme among many women attending our events, particularly those looking to enter or transition into the mining and resources industry. While there are plenty of opportunities available, many people aren’t always aware of the different ways they can stay visible and connected with companies and industry professionals. This month’s Sundowner will focus on how meaningful connections and strong professional networks can play an important role in opening doors and creating opportunities within the industry. These events continue to bring together a mix of experienced professionals, industry leaders and women who are just beginning their journey in mining and resources. The conversations that happen in these rooms are often where guidance is shared, confidence is built and new opportunities begin. Tickets are available now and we encourage you to secure yours early. As always, we’re proud to represent the Resourceful Women community in these spaces and continue advocating for greater connection, opportunity and visibility for women in mining and resources.
