2026 continues to build momentum at Resourceful Women and March is shaping up to be another exciting month for our growing community.

As we move into March, we’re also proud to celebrate International Women’s Day, a moment to recognise the achievements of women across industries and reflect on the progress being made toward greater equity and opportunity.

The mining and resources sector has seen incredible growth in female participation over the years, but the power of community, mentorship and support remains just as important as ever. At Resourceful Women, our mission is to create a space where women can connect, share experiences and continue building confidence and capability across every stage of their career.

Every conversation, event and connection made through Resourceful Women contributes to building a stronger, more supportive industry for women now and into the future.

If you’re new here, welcome. Resourceful Women exists to create genuine connections, amplify experience and support women at every stage of their career, whether you’re just starting out, transitioning into mining or looking to grow and lead.


A Sold Out February Sundowner

Our February Sundowner was an incredible way to kick off the year, with the event officially selling out and bringing together 70 attendees, including 7 children, for an evening of connection and conversation.

One of the things we’re most proud of is creating a welcoming environment where women feel comfortable attending, even if that means bringing their children along. Seeing families present in the room was a great reminder that building supportive networks in the mining and resources industry means creating spaces that recognise the realities of balancing career, family and life.

The feedback following the event was overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees sharing how valuable it was to meet others in the industry, exchange insights and make new connections. The energy in the room was undeniable and it set a strong tone for the events we have planned throughout the year.


March Sundowner: Leveraging Your Network

Over the past few months we’ve noticed a common theme among many women attending our events, particularly those looking to enter or transition into the mining and resources industry. While there are plenty of opportunities available, many people aren’t always aware of the different ways they can stay visible and connected with companies and industry professionals.

This month’s Sundowner will focus on how meaningful connections and strong professional networks can play an important role in opening doors and creating opportunities within the industry.

These events continue to bring together a mix of experienced professionals, industry leaders and women who are just beginning their journey in mining and resources. The conversations that happen in these rooms are often where guidance is shared, confidence is built and new opportunities begin.

Out and About in the Industry RIU Conference, Fremantle Next week we’ll be attending the RIU Conference for 3 consecutive days in Fremantle , one of Australia’s leading resources investment conferences. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with industry leaders, explorers and decision-makers and we’re excited to represent Resourceful Women in this space. The FIFO Family Project Book Launch We’re also looking forward to attending the The FIFO Family Project “What Every Kid Needs To Know About FIFO – A–Z Edition” book launch on the 21st of February. Building Strong Partnerships Collaboration is at the heart of what we do and we’re excited to share some recent partnerships and memberships. AUSMASA Resourceful Women has officially joined AUSMASA as members. AUSMASA plays a key role in representing and supporting professionals across the mining and resources sector and we’re excited to collaborate, connect and continue strengthening our industry presence. See our Member Spotlight Media Release RugbyWA THE resources HUB, alongside Resourceful Women, has become a partner of Women in Rugby through RugbyWA. As a rugby-oriented family, this partnership is a real passion project for us. We’re excited to support the rugby community, connect with others who share the same passion and help players secure work during the off-season while expanding the Resourceful Women network. CEOs for Gender Equity We’re also proud to be partnering with CEOs for Gender Equity, a movement that strongly aligns with everything Resourceful Women stands for.
