Resourceful Women October Newsletter
Big things are happening at Resourceful Women!
There’s been a lot happening behind the scenes at Resourceful Women lately, and we have so much to share!
From announcing our incredible new industry partners and celebrating our growing membership community to being recognised as finalists in the Belmont Business Awards, it’s been a huge few months for RW.
Most excitingly, our Breaking Beyond Seminar is now just FOUR WEEKS AWAY! We’re bringing together women, industry leaders, company representatives and boots-on-ground workers for a full day dedicated to connection, learning, collaboration and creating real opportunities for women across male-dominated industries.
Here’s everything you may have missed!
BREAKING BEYOND SEMINAR 2026
Friday 6 November | The Camfield, Burswood, Perth
The countdown is officially on! Our second annual Resourceful Women Breaking Beyond Seminar is now just four weeks away, and tickets are moving quickly.
Designed for women looking to enter, transition within or return to the workforce across mining, resources, construction, engineering, transport, civil and other male-dominated industries, this is more than just another networking event.
We’re creating a space where women can learn from people who understand the industry, build genuine connections with employers, ask the questions that matter and walk away with the confidence, knowledge and connections to take their next step.
Running from 8:30am into the afternoon, the day includes five powerful panel discussions, interactive activities, morning tea, lunch and drinks, with plenty of opportunities to connect with the people and companies helping shape the future of our industries.
What's on the agenda?
1. Artificial Intelligence: The Future of Work
AI is changing the way we work, recruit and operate across industries. This panel will explore what these changes mean for workers, the opportunities emerging and how women can prepare themselves to remain relevant and confident in an evolving workforce.
2. Entering and Returning to Work
Whether you're looking for your first opportunity, returning after time away or trying to find your way back into the workforce, knowing where to start can be overwhelming. This discussion will explore practical pathways, overcoming barriers and what employers are looking for when considering candidates who may not have a traditional industry background.
3. Different Industries, Different Opportunities
Mining isn't the only pathway into a rewarding career in a male-dominated industry. From rail and transport to construction, civil and engineering, this panel will explore the opportunities available across different sectors, helping women discover pathways they may not have considered and understand how their existing skills can transfer.
4. Health, Wellbeing and Working in Industry
Working in male-dominated industries can come with unique physical and mental challenges. This panel will explore health, wellbeing and the importance of looking after yourself while navigating demanding workplaces, shift work and the realities of industry life.
5. Progression, Leadership and Career Development
Getting your foot in the door is one thing. Knowing how to progress, develop your skills and build a sustainable career is another. This panel will explore career progression, leadership opportunities, workplace development and how women can continue building their confidence and influence once they're in the industry.
Across the day, our goal is to provide practical knowledge, honest conversations and meaningful connections that women can take with them long after the event finishes.
There are still opportunities for companies to get involved!
We want employers to be part of the conversation, because creating more opportunities for women requires collaboration between candidates, industry and the companies willing to open doors.
General Admission Tickets
For women looking to enter, transition within or return to industry, this is your opportunity to learn, connect and put yourself in the room with people who could help shape your future.
Company Representative Tickets
Are you recruiting, looking to diversify your workforce or wanting to connect with women who are ready to take their next step? Join us as a company representative and meet potential candidates face-to-face.
Annual Partnerships: Gold, Silver and Bronze
Our annual partnership opportunities remain available for companies wanting to build an ongoing relationship with Resourceful Women and support our work throughout the year. Partnerships provide opportunities to increase brand visibility, connect with our community and demonstrate a genuine commitment to creating more inclusive industries.
Exhibitor Booths
Showcase your business, services and opportunities directly to attendees. A limited number of exhibitor booth spaces remain available for companies wanting to connect with our audience on the day.
Company Tables of 5 or 10
Bring your company representatives alongside your boots-on-ground female workers and give attendees the opportunity to hear directly from women who are already working in industry.
Your team can share their experiences, answer questions and help women better understand what working in your organisation actually looks like.
Sponsor a Table and Help Us Create Opportunities
Can't fill a table yourself? You can still make a meaningful impact by sponsoring the remaining seats at the seminar.
Resourceful Women will individually select and interview candidates from our network, identifying women whose interests, experience, transferable skills and career goals could align with your business.
We'll then invite suitable candidates to fill your sponsored seats, giving your company the opportunity to connect with potential future employees while helping women access valuable industry connections.
It's about more than filling seats. It's about putting the right people in the room and creating opportunities that may otherwise never happen.

MEET OUR NEW INDUSTRY PARTNERS
One of the most exciting parts of Resourceful Women's growth has been bringing together companies that genuinely believe in what we're trying to achieve.
We're proud to welcome four incredible organisations into our growing network of partners, each bringing their own expertise, experience and commitment to supporting our community.
MGM Bulk | Annual Platinum Partner
We're thrilled to have MGM Bulk as our Annual Platinum Partner, our highest level of annual partnership.
MGM Bulk is an Australian bulk haulage and logistics business supporting the resources sector with transport and logistics solutions. Their work is an important part of the supply chain that keeps industry moving, and we're proud to have their support as Resourceful Women continues to grow.
Having an industry partner of this calibre alongside us helps strengthen our ability to connect women with the businesses, people and opportunities that exist across the resources sector.
We're grateful to MGM Bulk for backing Resourceful Women and supporting our vision for more women to enter, progress and thrive across industry.
Frontline Finance Services | Annual Industry Services Partner
We're also excited to welcome Frontline Finance Services as our Annual Industry Services Partner.
Led by Ichtus Breytenbach, Frontline Finance Services brings valuable financial services expertise into our network. Financial confidence and access to the right advice can play an important role in helping people navigate their careers, make informed decisions and plan for their future.
Partnerships like this allow us to connect our community with businesses and professionals who can offer value beyond the workplace, while continuing to build a stronger support network around women in industry.
We're looking forward to what we'll achieve together.
Norman Living Media | Photographer and Media Partner
We're delighted to continue building our relationship with Norman Living Media as our Photographer and Media Partner.
Led by Bodie Norman, Norman Living Media helps capture the people, stories and moments that make our events and community so special.
At Resourceful Women, we know how important it is to showcase the women behind the work, celebrate their achievements and share the real stories of those building careers across male-dominated industries.
Having a media partner who helps us capture and communicate those stories is an important part of growing our reach and showing more people what Resourceful Women is all about.
The Australian Mining Review | Industry Media Partner
We're excited to announce The Australian Mining Review as our Industry Media Partner!
Through its coverage of Australia's mining and resources sector, The Australian Mining Review provides an important platform for industry news, insights and conversations.
This partnership creates an opportunity to share Resourceful Women's work with a broader industry audience, highlighting the women, businesses and initiatives working towards a more inclusive future.
We're especially grateful to Samantha Bawden and the team for helping share our story and shine a light on the work happening within our community.
One shared goal
Although each of these organisations brings something different to the table, they share a common goal with Resourceful Women: supporting a stronger, more connected and inclusive industry where women have genuine opportunities to enter, develop and succeed.
We know that meaningful change doesn't happen through conversations alone. It happens when businesses get involved, share their knowledge, open doors and work together to create practical opportunities.
We're proud to have these organisations alongside us as we continue building a community that delivers real value to women and industry alike.
OUR MEMBERSHIP COMMUNITY IS GROWING!
Resourceful Women has always been about more than events. It's about building a community where women can access support, share knowledge, develop their careers and find people who understand the challenges and opportunities of working in male-dominated industries.
We're excited to see our membership community continuing to grow, particularly our Lead Her members.

RESOURCEFUL WOMEN NAMED A FINALIST IN THE BELMONT BUSINESS AWARDS!
We've got another exciting milestone to celebrate!
Resourceful Women has been announced as a finalist in the 33rd Belmont Business Awards in the Corporate Social Responsibility category, while Sienna Tamati has been named a finalist in the Young Entrepreneur category.
These nominations come just one year after Resourceful Women took home the Best New Business Award at last year's event.
To be recognised again is incredibly meaningful, particularly as we reflect on how far RW has come in such a short time.
What started as a vision to create more meaningful connections and opportunities for women in male-dominated industries has continued to grow into a community of women, businesses, industry leaders and supporters who share that vision.
For us, corporate social responsibility isn't just a category or a statement. It's about the work that happens behind the scenes, the conversations that open doors, the businesses willing to get involved and the women who leave our events feeling more confident, supported and connected than when they arrived.
We're proud of what we've built so far, but even more excited about what lies ahead.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Resourceful Women, backed our vision, attended our events, shared our posts, become a member or helped connect us with someone new. These milestones are a reflection of the community we've built together.
LOOKING BACK, MOVING FORWARD
When we reflect on the past year, we're incredibly proud of how far Resourceful Women has come.
We've brought women and industry together through our events, strengthened our relationships with businesses across the sector, welcomed new partners and continued growing a community that is passionate about creating more opportunities for women.
We've seen firsthand what can happen when the right people are in the room. Women have walked into our events unsure of where to start and left with new connections, greater confidence and conversations that have led to real employment opportunities.
That's why we continue to do what we do.
We know that entering or progressing through a male-dominated industry isn't always easy. Sometimes it's difficult to know who to speak to, which tickets or qualifications you need, where your existing skills might fit or whether an employer will give you a chance.
We want Resourceful Women to help bridge that gap.
Our focus is on creating practical opportunities, connecting women directly with industry and building relationships that extend beyond a single event. We want to keep bringing businesses to the table, encouraging collaboration and ensuring women have access to the knowledge, support and networks they need to build meaningful careers.
As we look ahead, we're excited to keep growing our memberships, developing our partnerships, expanding our reach and finding new ways to connect women with industry.
And our upcoming Breaking Beyond Seminar is a huge part of that next chapter.
On Friday 6 November, we'll bring our community together for a day of connection, learning, collaboration, empowerment and opportunity. A day for honest conversations, new perspectives and introductions that could lead to something bigger.
Whether you're a woman looking to take your next step, a business wanting to connect with future talent or an industry professional who believes in creating more opportunities for women, there's a place for you in the Resourceful Women community.
Thank you for being part of our journey. We can't wait to see what we achieve together.
See you at Breaking Beyond!
The Resourceful Women Team
Connecting women. Creating opportunities. Building a stronger future for industry.
